Complete exposure to programming. G codes / M codes / T codes.
Tool offsets - Geometry and Wear.
Part programming, Canned cycles, Thread cutting cycles.
Trigonometry, tool nose radius compensation, CRC.
Cutting parameters - Speed, Feed , DOC.
Indexable carbide inserts and tool holders.
Actual machine operation.
Tool offsets setting and checking.
Soft jaw mounting on machine and correct jaw boring procedure.
Cutting trials and job setting on the machine.
Modes of operation Jog, MDI, Hand wheel, Single block, MPG, Edit, and Automatic.
Understanding and usage of measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometers, Bore gauge, Height gauge, Slip gauge Etc.
Use of CAD CAM in Manufacturing.
